Lucas headed to Whilton Mill for the final round of The Kart Championship with a commanding lead and knowing a sensible drive would be enough.
Pace during Friday testing was quick and Lucas felt configuring into Saturday and Sundays race day.
Lucas qualified on pole breaking the lap record for the track with a blistering 45.05 and put him in a great position for the races.
Both heats went well with a P2 and P3 and Sunday final was a formality as Lucas clinched the title with Saturday points total.
